She's Back

With another star debuting in a few months and a fun-filled summer in Maine, the Bean Patch has been overwhelmed and exhausted. We apologize for the delay in Kay Taylor news.

In an attempt to get back into the swing of things, a few photos of the star at 21 months.

Kay Taylor met with her talent coach yesterday, Dr. Van Vleck, and everything looks good. She's 27 pounds (75th percentile) and a whopping 36 inches tall (100th percentile). Her vocabulary is growing every day - her favorite words are help, Bo-Bo (referring to any dog), and no. And next week, she'll attend school two days a week. This little star is really growing up!

Wood You Believe It? - Star Hosts Relatives

Taking a brief break from her Memorial Day Weekend festivities, our starlet spent this morning entertaining her Great Uncle Bob and Great Aunt Lynda Wood for a morning of pleasant conversation along with some of Grandmom's excellent bran muffins. Kay Taylor was the consummate host as she took time to show off her sand and water table as well as her two new Adirondack chairs.

Kay Taylor's press department took the opportunity to release several older photos of a previous Wood encounter last August when her Great Uncle David and Great Aunt Susan came to visit. Susan had just finished an interview for being a contestant on Jeopardy! -- one of our young star's favorite nightly shows. "I think Susan would a be a perfect fit," Kay Taylor was reported as saying, "and I'd like to do anything I can to help make it happen." With Kay Taylor's potent star power working for her, the Bean Patch thinks it's a matter of time before Susan gets her break.


This afternoon ended with the star pausing for a brief photo op with her co-agents/parents and grandparents. A reporter who called for a comment later that afternoon asked if the star's inner circle would describe the day as a success. Her co-agent responded succinctly: "We Wood!"

Agents Get Away as Star Drives Solo

Earlier this month, Kay Taylor's co-agents took a night off (thanks to the generosity of the grandparents Snee) and spent the evening walking around the Tidal Basin, having a nice dinner at a posh, local DC restaurant and a leisurely brunch the following morning at a neighborhood eatery. Meanwhile, Kay Taylor spent her first overnight in Olney, MD and showed her dedicated grandparents first-hand how much goes into managing the career of DC's greatest new talent. Kay Taylor prounounced them extremely capable fill-ins for her regular co-agents and last weekend began to hone her skills exploring ways of escaping to Olney on her own -- though the car she test drove seemed to have some major mobility issues.

When her co-agent/father pointed out she also seemed to be training to be a backseat driver rather than a driver herself, she coyly smiled and said, "I'm trying to get to Grandma and Grandpa's house. If backseat driving's how I'm going to get there, then that's what I'm training to do." The Bean Patch thinks it won't be long before this young star is steering her own career direction.

The Daring Young Star on the Flying Trapeze

One of Kay Taylor's favorite activities is visiting the gym. In the early days, she played with balls, climbed bridges, and walked on the baby treadmill but that just doesn't excite her anymore. She has moved on to bigger and more daring activities. This week, photographers captured her first attempt at the trapeze. Her agent was a bit apprehensive but relaxed once she realized that the star had it under control. She looks like a natural to us.

Taking Over the Big Chair

This chair once belonged to Kay Taylor's agent - it looks like he will need to find another place to sit. The star has decided that she will no longer sit on the floor, only chairs and sofas will do. At every opportunity, she climbs up, on her own, and lounges in the first available seat. Sometimes with the remote control too!

Dining Out

Over the past month, Kay Taylor has been spotted dining with friends at two neighborhood hotspots - Chef Geoff's and Cactus Cantina.

Early in February, the starlet and her co-agents met up with the Jaconi-Hawe family - Kylie and Lucca. (Co-agents Michelle and Bart were also in attendance.) While Kylie and Kay Taylor feasted on french fries, quesadillas, and risotto with truffles, Lucca quietly relaxed in his carseat. Truffles were a first for Kay Taylor and when asked if she liked them, she positively replied by clapping her hands!

Last night, KT and her co-agents joined Josie, Bob, and Clay for an early dinner at Cactus Cantina. Clay is in the early stages of solid foods so he chose to eat his meal at home. However, Kay Taylor managed to eat enough for both of them - finishing an entire cheese quesadilla and smashed avocado. Mexican food is said to be her favorite. The dinner was a huge success and diners confirmed that Kay Taylor repeatedly attempted to kiss Clay and Josie during dinner.

Kay Taylor Celebrates Valentine's Day

Over a leisurely breakfast, the starlet opened her Valentine's Day cards and gifts. One of her favorites - a card from Grandma and Grandpa that included a present for the entire family.

When asked to comment on the holiday, Kay Taylor said, "Happy Valentine's Day to my friends and family. I love all of you." Kay Taylor's agents added, "Kay Taylor has grown quite fond of giving kisses and hugs. We can't get enough of them, especially on Valentine's Day!"

A Day at Hunting Island

Sandy and windy is how Kay Taylor described her trip to Hunting Island in Beaufort, South Carolina. It was the star's first trip to a Carolina beach and by the looks of it, she liked it a lot. After a summer on the rocky shores of Maine, the softer beach was a welcome change - like a giant sandbox.
The pristine state park was the perfect setting for a fun afternoon with her co-agents and Grandmama Winthrop. After some playtime in the sand and surf, they even took time to tour the lighthouse grounds.

The star was so impressed with the beach, she's decided that she'll return in warmer weather and even take a dip in the waves.

In honor of her one-year birthday, Kay Taylor's co-agents contacted Photographer to the Stars, Jay Premack. After an extensive photo shoot, and much collaboration with the photographer, these exclusive photos were released to The Bean Patch.

12-Month Update from Talent Coach

This morning, Kay Taylor met with her talent coach to discuss her progress over the past twelve months. Our sources tell us it was a positive meeting. The Bean Patch also secured the following stats:
Weight = 22 pounds (70th percentile)
Height = 32 1/4 inches (100th percentile)
Head Circumference = 47.8 cm (97th percentile)

The talent coach was particularly pleased with the percentile increase in weight. It seems that Kay Taylor has really bounced back from her bout of Norovirus in October.

Other details from the meeting included a change from baby formula to milk, the addition of eggs, fish, and berries to her diet, and perhaps, a move to one nap a day. It seems that Kay Taylor is really changing things up. What's next for the little star? The Bean Patch will keep you posted.
