Kay Taylor's New Look

After 22 months on the scene, it was time for Kay Taylor to update her look. She chose to visit the salon at Kidville - known for its plentiful toys, airplane/fire engine chairs, Dora and Elmo DVDs, and of course, cutting edge style.

Kay Taylor's co-agents were unsure if the star would embrace a haircut but she was enthusiastic. After brief hesitation with the dampening of her hair with a spray bottle, she sat back, relaxed, watched a Dora DVD, and blew bubbles. Here are some photos of the outing.

Star Expresses True Cakelove

This past weekend was a full one for our young star as she toured the DC suburbs connecting with fans. On Saturday, Kay Taylor spent the morning at Cabin John Regional Park, testing out assorted playground equipment and conversing with other local visitors. Though the attached photo may not accurately capture her enthusiasm, Kay Taylor particularly enjoyed the train ride through the woods where she spent most of the ride looking for grazing deer (to no avail).

After a full day, it was time to kick back and relax with friends. Kay Taylor headed to a casual dinner at the home of fellow young stars Jack & Annie Mershon and brought some elegant cupcakes from Cakelove bakery for the stars and their respective co-agents to enjoy for dessert. Her press department gave limited details of the dinner, but all indications were it was actually our young starlet who most enjoyed the after-dinner treats.

School's in Session, Star Exclaims

Because even the brightest of stars require a certain amount of continuing education, our young celebrity's press department announced this morning that Kay Taylor was heading off to a local school near her DC home. Even critics were quick to praise the starlet's initiative and Kay Taylor was all smiles as she prepared to leave in the morning.

Still, at an informal gathering of the press and fans, one cynic exclaimed this was hardly "school" and really should be considered a "playgroup" and nothing more. But the outburst was quickly shouted down by a collection of fans. "What difference does it make? She's always trying to improve herself and that's a great message to her fans," one supporter said. With that, KayTay's co-agent hurried her from the room, and the two headed for the door.

But our young star still had time to turn to her fans, and, as they showered her with praise, she acknowledge the crowd in return with a quick bit of her own applause. One of her co-agent's wistfully said, "this is just the beginning. Once this kid learns to manage her own career, it makes you wonder how much need she'll have for us." Then, as if correcting himself, he added, "I think it shows you that one can learn more at any age, and one can always use the advice of a good co-agent."

She's Back

With another star debuting in a few months and a fun-filled summer in Maine, the Bean Patch has been overwhelmed and exhausted. We apologize for the delay in Kay Taylor news.

In an attempt to get back into the swing of things, a few photos of the star at 21 months.

Kay Taylor at Cactus Cantina with her friend, Anthony:

Kay Taylor met with her talent coach yesterday, Dr. Van Vleck, and everything looks good. She's 27 pounds (75th percentile) and a whopping 36 inches tall (100th percentile). Her vocabulary is growing every day - her favorite words are help, Bo-Bo (referring to any dog), and no. And next week, she'll attend school two days a week. This little star is really growing up!
